What Is afbackup?

Afbackup is a simply a backup software for Unix. It is a client-server based system, which means that computers that need to be backed up (clients) send their data to a central computer (server), which backs it up onto an attached backup device.

So why would one choose afbackup over other backup software? Afbackup is rich with several features not found in other backup software. For a full list of features, see Section 1.2.2 on page [*].
