How Stable Is afbackup?

Afbackup has been tested on a wide variety of Un*x platforms including Linux, AIX, IRIX, FreeBSD, Digital Unix (OSF1), Solaris and HP-UX. The client component of afbackup has also been tested on SunOS and OpenBSD.

The core code of afbackup has been running for a wide variety of systems for more than a couple of years now, without problems. Most systems backup several gigabytes of data using afbackup. The code has matured over time with input from both users and developers - which is common to any opensource software.

However, like most other opensource software, do notice that afbackup comes without any warranty. See Section 1.2.5 on page [*] for the disclaimer that comes along with afbackup.
